Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance and Post-16 Education

Careers education is an important part of a young person's development.

At Sheffield Springs Academy, we are committed to ensuring that the school has a stable careers programme that supports our students from year 7 until year 11. We help our students to make well informed decisions about their next steps and provide impartial advice and guidance.

Our careers team also offers its support to our ex-students and school community to support our students beyond their time in the academy.

Careers Team

Our careers team is here to support students and families with both general advice and more specific careers-related guidance.

My Cramphorn, our Careers Lead and Advisor, is available to offer support and answer any queries you may have. He works alongside Mr A.Regen, Careers Advisor, to ensure students receive high-quality careers guidance.

The careers office is located in the school library and the team is available for students to drop in to ask questions or arrange a meeting. If you're interested please contact the school or team to arrange a time and let the team know what you would like to cover in the meeting.

The team can also be contacted via email at CEIAG@sheffieldsprings.org or by telephone on 0114 239 2631.  Alongside a dedicated careers mobile number 07542507278.

Unifrog is an online careers platform that helps students eplore and compare all post-16 and post-18 options in one place. It provides impartial, up-to-date information on university courses in the UK and abroad, apprenticeships at all levels, and further education pathways.

All students have an account which they can use to investigate different career routes, identify opportunities that match their interestes, and access tools to support their career planning.

Parents and carers can create thier own Unifrog account to access information, tools, and resources that help them support their child's education an career decisions. To get started, parents should ask their child's school or college to add their email address to the student's Unifrog profile, after which they can create an account.

Have Your Say

We regularly review and evaluate our careers provision using the Compass+ evaluation tool. This helps us understand how we are performing against the Gatsby Benchmarks and identify areas for improvement.

Your feedback is an important part of this process. We warmly invite parents and students to share their thoughts, experiences, and suggestions with our careers team. Your input helps us continue to develop and improve the support we offer.
