We are pleased to announce that we are launching a consultation on a positive change for our school and local community.
What’s Changing?
To meet growing demand and ensure more local children can benefit from attending Sheffield Springs, we are proposing to increase our Year 7 intake from 210 to 240 students on a permanent basis. This change will allow us to welcome more families into our school community and continue delivering high-quality education to a broader group of young people.
Why Now?
The local population is growing, and we want to ensure that our school can continue to serve the needs of our community. There are currently insufficient places in this area of Sheffield for all children to attend a school near to where they live. Sheffield City Council has asked the school to take additional students, and we have done so on a temporary basis for the last two years. This move to a permanent expansion will help meet that demand while maintaining our commitment to excellence in teaching, learning, and student wellbeing.
What Will This Involve?
To accommodate the additional students, we will need to make some changes to the building. For more information about what is changing, please read the consultation document here.
