Dear Parents and Carers

We would like to remind you of our expectations regarding student attendance.  Students are expected to arrive at the Academy for 8:35am.  Any student who arrives after this time without good reason will be set a 30 minute detention after school on the same day.  We expect 100% attendance from all students with a minimum of 97%.  As you will be aware earlier this term we launched our form tutor attendance leagues.  The first league winners will be announced in next week’s letter.  Please take time to talk to your son or daughter about their current level of attendance and how this compares to our expectations.

Year 11 Information

There are just 4 school days before Y11 will be sitting pre-public examinations (week commencing 23rd February 2014) in readiness for the final examination in the summer.  Please support your child by encouraging them to attend session 6 every Monday, Thursday and Friday as well as holiday sessions during February half term.

Year 9 Information

We would like to remind you that Y9 parents' evening will take place on Thursday 12th February from 4.00pm until 6.30pm. If you haven't booked your appointments or would like to view appointments you have made, please use the following link  Complementary pie and peas will be available on the evening. There will also be an opportunity to arrange your guided pathways interview.  This will allow you to discuss your child’s move into Y10 and discuss the subjects they will study.  Interviews with Mr Middleton can be arranged to take place on Friday 13th February (INSET day).

The Y11 Futsal team made it through to the City Finals this week with two convincing wins in the regional qualifiers.
