Dear Parents and Carers
continued to make an impressive start with their attendance to school. The whole school attendance figure is
currently above the national average for secondary schools across the country. We would like to take this opportunity to not
only congratulate them but also to thank you for your continued support. Ensuring your child arrives at school daily,
on time, in correct uniform and fully equipped will increase their chances of
making good progress with learning.
We would like to take this opportunity to remind you that any
visitors to the Academy must report to our Main Reception via the entrance at
the front of the building. If your visit
is of a nature which will see you enter the main building, you will be asked to

you will be provided with a clearly visible visitor’s badge which contains safeguarding

safeguarding children is everyone’s responsibility. Our team of Social Workers work closely with
the designated Child Protection Liaison Officer (CPLO) and Heads of Year to be

The Maths department will be following a policy of setting a

Please support your child by checking they are
completing their extended learning. Any students without access to the internet
can come to the Maths Homework club in A2 on Mondays and Thursdays, 3.00pm –
4.00pm where laptops will be provided.
Last week we
sent home our uniform policy, we would like to clarify that any confiscated
mobile phones will be returned to students at the end of each day and not the
end of the week as stated.
The Local Governing Body (LGB) plays an
important role in both supporting the Academy and challenging staff and
students to make progress and bring out ‘The Best in Everyone’. In the past our
parent governors have brought to our meetings valuable insights into the views
of students and the wider community the Academy serves.
Discretion, a sense of responsibility to all
the young people in our community and an understanding of confidentiality are
vital to this role.
If you are interested in standing
for election, please contact Mrs Cook; Clerk to the LGB at email@example.com by Friday 19th September.
sincerely Yours sincerely Yours
