Performing Arts

The main specialism at Sheffield Springs Academy is  Performing Arts,  working alongside the second specialism of Business and Enterprise.

Performing Arts in the school consists of Drama, Dance, Music and Production.

We believe that:

• Performing Arts can unlock pupils' imagination and intellect, helping them to develop empathy for others and confidence in themselves.
• Through performing Arts students can challenge, question and bring about change.

It is this belief that drives the specialism, giving students many enrichment opportunities within performing arts during their time at the school.

Some of those include:

• Use of advanced equipment and facilities including recording studio, lighting, sound systems and studios with spring floors.
• Major school productions
• Performing Arts extra - curricular clubs
• Workshops by professionals in the industry
• Trips and visits to theatres/music industries
• Each school year a full weeks timetable is dedicated to the specialism for all students
