Free School Meals
Did you know?
Your child could get £1.93 a day (9.65 per week) to spend on lunch if they are eligible to have free school meals. All students use the cashless system to pay for food in school, so no one can tell which students get free school meals and which students don't.
Who can get free school meals?
Your child can have free school meals if you receive child benefit for them and:
-
You or your partner are receiving Income Based Job Seekers Allowance or
-
You or your partner are receiving Income Support or
-
You or you partner are receiving Working Tax Credit, and your annual income does not exceed £16,190. Those claiming Working Tax Credit are not eligible or
-
If you receive the guarantee element of State Pension Credit your child may also be eligible for free school meals
How do I apply?
Contact school reception on 01142 392631 or call in for a pink Free School Meals Application form. If you need any help completing the form or would like your form checked, do not hesitate to contact the reception team on the above number.
