Main Hall
The main hall is a state-of-the-art venue - The stage is large, with access from a number of points. There are excellent dressing room facilities back stage and generous spaces around the stage. There is a costume and props room as well as toilets. The cast can see the stage during performances via a large flat screen video monitor outside the changing rooms. There is a large screen and projector for conferencing.The control room is situated at the back of the hall, allowing an excellent view of the stage. The 32-channel sound mixing console controls an excellent PA system. A wide array of professional microphones is available, including eight wireless microphones and cordless comms for the technical and backstage team.
The lighting system boasts a range of par cans as well as four moving lights, allowing for the programming of various lighting effects, all conrolled from a digital lighting desk. There are also two large follow spots in the control room.
Yamaha CFIII concert Grand Piano - The hall boasts a top-of-the-range concert grand piano available for rehearsals, solo recitals and ensemble work. It is also available for professional rehearsal and examination use.
The seating is retractable, with a maximum capacity of 320 seats. It is tiered, ensuring an excellent view from every seat. The seats are individually numbered allowing for specific bookings. The academy operates its own box office which can be employed in helping booking and promotions for performances.
