Our Governors…
bringing out the best in everyone through support from the Local Governing Body

Parents, staff and members of the local and wider community contribute to the Local Governing Body of Sheffield Springs Academy, supporting the Academy to become the best it can be.

Whilst Sheffield Springs Academy is independent of the local authority, it is accountable to a Local Governing Body (LGB). The LGB works in partnership with the Principal and Leadership Team to secure the highest possible standards of achievement, deliver a broad and innovative curriculum relevant to today’s students, what ever their educational needs, provide state-of-the-art facilities and be at the heart of our community.

Sheffield Springs Academy exists, not just for its students, but for the community it serves. The potential of our community is huge and we aim to play a central part in realising this.

We value the excellent relationships we have developed, particularly those we have with our primary schools.

We encourage our students to be active citizens and play their part in making a positive contribution to society. We are delighted that locally, the Academy is increasingly becoming a resource enjoyed by the whole community, complementing the existing facilities in the area.
