The aim of studying Science is to fires pupils' curiosity about phenomena in the world around them and offer opportunities to find explanations.
It engages learners at many levels, linking direct practical experience with scientific ideas. We aim to use as much experimentation as possible to develop creative thought. Pupils learn how scientific ideas contribute to technological change – affecting industry, business and medicine and improving quality of life.
Science has always been important as it permeates our lives and informs our actions. In modern times the field is becoming increasingly vital within the job market. Science offers a wide variety of jobs and careers, as well as a forecast for job growth. With increasing competition, a good grounding in Science can provide both a directly related career, as well as valuable transferable skills.
