At Sheffield Springs Academy we are committed to providing learning that is stimulating, challenging and fun. We work to ensure all our students can access an enriched curriculum, develop new interests and fulfil their potential.

Sheffield Springs Academy offers a broad and balanced curriculum to all its students.

In Years 7 and 8, students follow the National Curriculum, before having the opportunity to begin many of their GCSEs and other similar Key Stage 4 courses early in Year 9.  This provides students with an accelerated track to success for those students who wish to take it, while providing other students with more time to gain vital qualifications.

The Academy offers a wide range of academic and vocational courses to suit students of all abilities.  All students have access to the core curriculum (English, Mathematics, Science and ICT) with stimulating extension material available to suit individual needs. We also offer a wide range of vocational courses to complement the core curriculum including Health and Social Care, Art & Design and Sport, as well as traditional GCSEs in subjects such as History, Geography and Modern Foreign Languages.

The innovative design of the Academy building provides excellent learning spaces with studios for Dance, Drama and Art, as well as fully equipped science laboratories, computer suites, music recording studios, Learning Resource Centre and space set aside for spiritual reflection.  Every classroom within the Academy has an interactive whiteboard and all students and staff have broadband access to the internet.
