On WEDNESDAY 25TH March, 5 students attended the BiG Challenge award ceremony at the Royal Victoria Holiday Inn. The business ‘Recipes Worldwide’, were given a top prize in the Key Stage 4 category, each team member receiving a significant gift voucher to enjoy. The awards were presented at an Oscar style ceremony in the grand hall at the Royal Victoria by the Master Cutler David Grey MBE. Dignitaries from local, national and international business were also present and spoke about their experience and aspirations for the young people of Sheffield.
To achieve this award the girls scored high marks in all the categories showing an all-round aptitude for enterprise - watch out The Apprentice! They were highly commended for their approach to business development and their team work. Each member of the team (Phoebe Alderton, Keisha Carpenter, Maisie Curtis, Zahava Nmezi and Kate Piper) finished the evening vowing to return next year to perform even better. Well done girls and well done to all our other teams who didn't make it through to the final but still made a profit from their enterprising ideas.
