"Is It Worth It?"

Event date: 09/04/2014 Export event

Amelix Youth Projects brought their South Yorkshire Police  commissioned  “Is It Worth It?” school tour to the Academy on Wednesday 9th April to deliver targeted messages through music, to our Year 7 to Year 10 students.

The “Is It Worth It?” school tour is an exciting sound and light experience which consists of a mix of of interactive games, dance, musical performances, and information.  It promotes key messages to help reduce antisocial behaviour and alert young people to a range of dangers, including drug misuse, alcohol, and using the internet and social media.

The tour has already been successful in Kent, Sussex, Merseyside and has now been extended to Yorkshire.

Students took part in an interactive quiz and performers included Brett Davison, aka Tone, who appeared on BBC1s The Voice.

Feedback from students was extremely positive.
